You believe you know what others are thinking or feeling. You think that you’re so good at reading people and situations that you don’t usually bother to check out your assumption. You don’t ask them if you are right. Example: You walk into a room and the conversation dies down. You assume it’s because they were talking about you

—Double-check Your Assumptions
In order to understand what’s going on around us, all of us try to interpret what we see, hear and observe. However, we are bound to interpret things incorrectly from time to time. Check in with others about your assumptions and  interpretations, especially if your conclusion is upsetting you. You may be wrong and are suffering needlessly. Often in our attempts to mind read, we are unaware of many possibilities. For instance with the example to the left, what really could have been happening  was that…
